Week 13 of pregnancy

Week By Week Development
Week 13
Baby's Development
  • Length - up to 3.5 inches or 80-90 mm long
  • Weight - about 23 gram
  • Your baby spends the rest of the time in the womb gaining strength, so that it can survive when born.
  • Her vocal cords are developing and she has developed many reflexes. Her teeth buds have been produced and are waiting for teething. Her fingers and toes are no longer webbed and have seperated.
Mother's Development - 13 pregnant week
  • This is the start of your second trimester and women often regain energy in this part of their pregnancy.
  • Your morning sickness should have gone and you shouldn't be as tired as you were at the start of the pregnancy. If you are still tired it's an indication that you need REST.
  • Avoid handling raw meat or changing the cat litter box, both can lead to toxoplasmosis, a disease that can cause birth defects. The risks are highest during the second and third trimester, but it?s a very wise idea to hand the chores off to somebody else as soon as you become pregnant. If there's no one else, make sure to wash your hands after changing the cat litter box or handling raw meat.
