Factors affecting pregnancy due dates

In an attempt to get pregnant, many women seem to forget the scientific background and tools available to plan and succeed in doing so. Before trying to get pregnant it is important that one consults a doctor and undergo certain necessary tests to ascertain good health. Fertility is affected by certain conditions like pelvic infections, age, smoking, previous medications, stress, menstrual disorders, endometriosis etc. It is also important to find out the monthly ovulation dates to maximize the chances of getting pregnant.

This can be done by:

• Consulting the menstrual calendar
• Finding out the basal body temperature
• Checking of cervical mucus
• Urine tests
